Title
Screen of Droplets
Year
2009
Materials
Screen mesh, water droplets, lighting, wall surface
Instruction
Apply water droplets to a screen mesh.
Light the mesh so that the droplets are projected onto a wall and appear as a grid-like image.
The work exists while the droplets remain attached to the mesh and the projected field retains its pixel-like structure.
It ends when the droplets dry, fall, or lose their correspondence with the grid.
Note
An analog surface produces an image that resembles a digital structure.
The work exists as a temporary relation between liquid matter, mesh, and a projected image field.
