Beach, leveling tool or straight edge, nighttime conditions
Instruction
At night, level all visible footprints on the beach until the surface becomes uniformly flat.
Do not add any further mark or form beyond the act of erasure itself.
The work exists while the beach has been returned to an even condition.
It ends when new footprints or other traces appear.
Note
Nothing is added; only traces are removed.
The work exists as a temporary condition of erasure within a surface that will inevitably be marked again.
